“…the purpose of psychotherapy is to set people free.”

What to expect

Experienced and compassionate care

I specialize in working with seniors, people with dementia, and individuals with chronic illnesses/disabilities. I also have extensive experience in relationship problems, sexual issues, and trauma. I believe the primary role of a therapist is to help clients regain a sense of hope. Life can be hard and talking through your issues can help. Instead of a “quick fix” approach, I’ll help you figure out the causes of your problems so they don’t keep popping up. I’ll listen to your story, help you discover what’s getting in the way of your happiness, and support you while you work on the new you.

Dedication to improving mental health

My counseling style is characterized as compassionate, genuine, and nonjudgmental. I realize people have similar issues like anxiety, depression, guilt, and shame but how they deal with their issues is unique to them. My job is to help you figure out what’s causing you to feel “stuck” so you can drop your baggage and live the life you choose.

Expertise in psychological care
I’m a licensed psychologist in Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. I’ve been in practice for 20 years and I have experience teaching university counseling courses. I provide psychotherapy and counseling for adults with anxiety, depression, social phobia, trauma, relationship issues, sexual dysfunction, ADHD, autism, and end-of-life issues. I specialize in neurocognitive and behavioral training for people with dementia and caregiver support.
